dc.descriptionAcne disease is a pressing issue in modern dermatovenereology due to its high prevalence among individuals in their pubertal and active reproductive age, leading to significant material and moral damage for those affected and long-lasting treatment with insufficiently high efficiency of existing methodologies. The disease is characterized by a chronic and often recurrent course, resulting in the formation of open and closed comedones, papules, pustules (surface or deep), and even cystic formations. Chronic inflammation of hair follicles and associated sebaceous glands occur in vulgar papular-pustular acne. The pathogenesis of papular-pustular acne lies in the violation of epidermal keratinization with the development of hyperkeratosis at hair follicle mouths and the formation of comedones against the background of absolute or relative hyperandrogenism, resulting in the formation of retention cysts of the sebaceous glands. Changes in the chemical composition of sebum, inflammation and suppuration of cysts with the participation of Propionibacterium acnes and the addition of Staphylococcus aureus or Staph. epidermidis, and fungal presence such as Malassezia are also observed.en-US
