Abstract
Description
this article is devoted to the treatment of dry eye syndrome (DES) with tear-replacement monotherapy with eye drops and hormone replacement therapy. According to statistics, women suffer from dry eye syndrome much more often than men. The prevalence of dry eye syndrome (DES), according to various authors, is up to 67% in females over 50 years of age, which is associated with a violation of the hormonal cycle, a change in the functioning of the lacrimal and meibomian glands, leading to a violation of the composition of the tear, and subsequently – to development (SSG).
