The propagation of stationary flexural elastic oscillations of drill strings and pipelines in rocks is studied, taking into account the viscous and elastic reactions of the rock. The dispersion equation is derived and analyzed. It is shown that there is a packet of waves in a rather narrow frequency range, which is characterized by the least attenuation and which is mainly captured by a sensor located farther from the oscillation source.en-US
