dc.descriptionthe problem of amblyopia in pediatric ophthalmology continues to be very relevant. Visual impairment caused by congenital cataracts can lead to the development of obscurative amblyopia, which is characterized by a persistent decrease in vision. Early detection of children with obscurative amblyopia, in particular, timely surgical treatment (cataract extraction with IOL implantation) of congenital cataract helps to eliminate low vision in young children and improve their psychosomatic state. Obscurative amblyopia is one of the main causes of poor functional outcomes after congenital cataract extraction.en-US
