dc.description | The consumption of any energy should be as efficient and expedient as possible. It is unlikely that this statement will cause anyone doubts. This is especially true of electrical energy, which today is the main resource in the national economy and industry. Solving the problem of energy conservation on a national scale will lead to a significant conservation of many material resources in industrial production, and will have a positive impact on the country's ecology. In industry, more than half of all electricity consumed is spent on electric drives, in particular - on power asynchronous electric motors, and if energy saving is increased through more efficient management of it, through a more competent consumption of mechanical and electrical energy in various technological processes, then the problem will be largely solved. The main way to solve this problem is to introduce variable speed electric drives wherever possible: metal-cutting machines, conveyor belts, water supply pumps, ventilation systems, compressors, etc. For example, setting the speed of a lathe will reduce the amount of energy spent for machining parts in a variety of products from ferrous and non-ferrous metals. | en-US |
