dc.descriptionCurriculum planning is the key to effective Curriculum implementation and evaluation. Curriculum planning lies the foundation for every other Curriculum activities to continue. The place of Curriculum planning in the realization of educational objective cannot be understated. It is unfortunate that Curriculum planning is faced with a lot of problems in Nigeria. This paper examines the problems faced by Curriculum planning in Nigeria with the view of providing solutions. Primary data and secondary data were used to support the various problems raised in the paper presentation. The paper sourced the data from the both print and online publication. The paper identified; inadequate funding, poor capacity development of Curriculum planner,lack of data on learner’ information, inadequate information communication technology, political instability and policy instability as problems facing Curriculum planning in Nigeria. To address the problems facing Curriculum planning in Nigeria, the following have been recommended: the government should increase the funding of education and directive should be given to allocate more funds for agencies and commission handling Curriculum planning in the Nigeria. This will provide adequate funds for Curriculum planning and the government should employ more Curriculum experts and deploy them to Ministries of education and agencies in charge of Curriculum planning etc.en-US
