The article is devoted to the study of archaeological monuments of stucco painted ceramics of Central Asia in the Late Bronze and Early Iron Ages. At present, ten centers of this culture have been identified in different parts of the Central Asian Mesopotamia. Based on the study of material culture, archaeologists combine them into one ethno-cultural community during the period of the spread of late hand-made painted ceramics. These are the Yazov ethno-cultural community (YAECС) according to V.N. Pilipko, the Chust ethno-cultural community (CHEСС) according to Yu.A. Zadneprovsky and B. Kh. Matbabaev, Bactrian ethno-cultural community (BEСС) according to O.N. Lushpenko, Tarim ethno-cultural community (TEСС). It should be added that cultures close, but not identical to Chust, are known mainly in zones of long-term development of agriculture. It is possible that the Chust culture arises on the basis of more ancient local, but still unknown agricultural cultures, about which we have little information.en-US
