Abstract
Description
The period of Wilhelm I accelerated and completed the process of feudalization, which developed from the Anglo-Saxon period. As a result of the Norman Conquest, the royal power grew stronger, a centralized state was formed, and its development began to equal that of France. As a result of the census, Wilhelm I compiled the "Book of Terrible Judgments." Through that book we get the first information about urban development in England
