Abstract
Description
This research is inspired with the phenomenon of academic anxiety experienced by students in completing their thesis. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between self-efficacy and academic anxiety in students who are working on their thesis, especially at the Faculty of Psychology and Education, Muhammadiyah University of Sidoarjo. There are 465 students population and 200 students as the sample who were taken using purposive sampling technique. The data collection technique used a self-efficacy scale adapted from Wijaya (2019) with a reliability score of 0.906 out of 29 items and an academic anxiety scale adapted from Toby (2018) with a reliability score of 0.893 out of 38 items. The analysis technique used in this research is the Rank Spearman by SPSS 25.0 for windows. The results of the analysis of the data obtained are ρxy = -0.186 with a significance (p) 0.008 <0.05.
